There are some records for him in Italian sources: Born in Venice, he was a son of Emilio Zago, who was an important Venetian dialect interpreter with whom he began to work as a child. He later formed his own theater companies by acting in various Goldonian works; he was stage mate, among others, of Cesco Baseggio and Toni Barpi. In the cinema he made his debut in 1935 in the film La luce del mondo by director Gennaro Righelli, in the same period the EIAR gave him the opportunity to act in various radio comedies. During the Second World War he worked on several films shot in the Scalera studios on Giudecca in Venice. He died in his hometown in 1947.
