Count Tolstoy Alexander: In 1913 he graduated from the Nicholas Cadet Corps in St. Petersburg, in 1914 moved to the 2nd course of the economic department of the Petrograd Polytechnic Institute named after Emperor Peter I. In 1919 he came to Finland, where he enrolled in the Northwest Army of generals Rodzianko and Yudenich. After the injury, he was evacuated to Warsaw to the Swiss resort of the Red Cross. In Prague, in 1922 he was appointed to the faculty of architecture of the Czechoslovak Higher Technical School, where he studied for one semester, then transferred to the School of Industrial Art, where he graduated in 1927. In the same year, he entered the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, in the class of prof. F. Thiele; in 1930 he received a diploma. During his studies at the Academy for a while, he lived with prof. VV Kosinski. Founding member of the Union of Russian Artists in Czechoslovakia participated in its exhibitions. Worked mostly in Sweden, Dalarna. Represented in Museum of Print Art (Litografiska museet).
