Decorated with floral ornament in best traditions of neoclassicism this handy pocket box made in Moscow in 1840 by master "F. M." The grooves on the silver surface were cut by hand with a chisel (engraving) and subsequently covered with black enamel or inked with special compositions. This jewelry technique was very popular in Russia.
