Hallmark for workshops of Pavel Akimovich Ovchinnikov (1830 - 1888) who was Russian manufacturer, one of the founders of the Russian national jewelry school and a reviver of the Russian style in jewelry, as well as an honorary citizen of Moscow, a vowel of the Moscow City Council, a member of the Merchant Council and the Exchange Committee. Ovchinnikov's production was distinguished by the characteristic use of the Russian style. A rich color palette, precious metals and Russian ornaments were adapted for modernity and products met the needs of their time. In 1865, at the Moscow International Exhibition, Pavel Ovchinnikov received the title of court supplier. For his work, he was awarded five Russian orders, Austrian, Belgian and French orders.
