Christ carrying cross to Calvary German version of famous Italian old painting ^Sale

Signed on the stretcher: painted by German artist Georg Schwartz in 1956. The artist was inspired of famous work by Artist: Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (1696 - 1770) that is in La chiesa di Sant'Alvise, Venice. In the background, Golgotha, shown here as a large aiguille. The two criminals, who will be crucified with Jesus, enter left. Kneeling, to the right, is Veronica. In the Venetian version she turns away from the suffering. Beside her there is a figure with a sign reading INRI: Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. The figures in the middle behind Jesus, who is collapsing under the weight of the cross, are his disciples, who seem to look straight at us.
Size app.: 67 x 55,8 cm (roughly 26,37 x 22 in). Very Good. wear, retouches. Please study good resolution images for overall cosmetic condition.
