This young shepherd clearly didn't want to pose for the artist, but something caught his attention, and in this expression and look, the artist masterfully depicted the whole range of emotions typical of teenage children... The big wolfhound faithfully standing at the feet of his young master also paid attention to this, but unlike the boy, the dog's gaze is full of sincere curiosity. The boy is dressed in a national costume typical of the peoples of the Mediterranean, we assume that the painting depicts Italy.
