Painted in the second half of the 19th century by skilled professional painter. Signed indistinctly...possibly the British painter William Robert Houghton (1826–1897). He liked to paint rocky landscapes. At verso, but also indistinct, however one may read British name of the place. Beautiful atmospheric painting with a small village located in a mountain gorge. Perspective, soft harmonious colors and fine details are impressive.
