Beautiful and sunny painting from the Italian Tour of Venice series. Some of his paintings in this series are made in the same color palette and style. The cathedral and moored fishing schooners are buried in the haze of summer sunrise... Brilliantly painted atmosphere. Fully signed and dated lower centre - Sydney Herbert 1878, British / Italy

Canvas approx. 45.5 cm X 30.5 cm (17.9 in by 12 in) and very nice golden gesso frame app. 55cm X 40 cm (app. 21,65 in X 15,75 in). Very Good condition, oil painting on paperboard. Please study good resolution images for overall cosmetic condition. In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment.
