19C antique gilt bronze bas relief wall plaque Jesus at Cana wedding feast ^Sale

Well gilt solid bronze. Presumably late 19th to early 20th century subject derived from old master’s painting. Fine work by stamping (embossing) on the outside or inside, followed by hand chasing.

Size app.: 29 cm high and 44,5 cm wide (roughly 11,4 x 17,5 in). Very Good condition, minimal usage wear. Please study good resolution images for cosmetic condition. In person actual item may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment. The transformation of water into wine at the wedding at Cana (also called the marriage at Cana, wedding feast) is the first miracle attributed to Jesus in the Gospel of John.
