Absolutely fantastic in quality and amazing architecturally the French big clock, "Denier a Paris" and “Cailleaux” (early 19th century)! Judging by the magnificently detailed execution of the traits and form of putti ("putto"), there is a high probability that the prototype of this figure, served as one of the models of the famous French sculptor Claude Michel Clodion (1738-1814). Production technique: bronze cast with brown patina, gilt bronze (ormolu, gilded, gold plated), hand chasing, Polished Green Marble. The clock is made in style: Neoclassical, Empire, Classical.

A putti (Italian "putto" , plural - "putti") is a figure in a work of art depicted as a chubby male child, usually naked and sometimes winged. Originally limited to profane passions in symbolism, the putto came to represent the sacred cherub (plural cherubs) (plural cherubim); and in the Baroque period of art, the putto came to represent the omnipresence of God. A putto representing a cupid is also called an "amorino" (plural - "amorini") or "amoretto" (plural - "amoretti")
