Siza app.: 57,8 x 43 cm (roughly 23 x 17 in). Enclosed in to modern/vintage frame which is 71,3 x 56,8 cm (roughly 28 x 22,4 in). Painting was intensively restored some 20-40 years ago. Satisfactory condition, wear, numerous restorations, retouches, cracks, losses. Please study good resolution images for overall condition. In person actual painting may appear darker or brighter than in our pictures, strictly depending on sufficient light in your environment. Joseph Karl Stieler (1781 - 1858) who was a German painter. From 1820 until 1855 he worked as royal court painter of the Bavarian kings. He is known for his Neoclassical portraits, especially for the Gallery of Beauties at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich.
