Danish seascape Ship traffic by British coast near Brighton 19th century ^Sale

Signed, Edward Michael Jensen (1822 - 1915). E. M. Jensen was one of the few talented Danish landscape painters of the time. His pictures are very carefully executed in a brushed naturalism with many details. This artist sold well at various auctions, including Sotheby's. Painting was signed with monogram lower right and entitled in pencil “Near Brighton” on stretcher. Antique oil painting on canvas, framed.
Size app.: 24.5 x 35.5 cm (roughly 9.6 x 14 in), 38 x 48,6 cm (roughly 15 x 19.1 in) well framed. Very Good condition, age wear. Please study good resolution images for overall cosmetic condition.
